"Jane’s class breaks through the mystery of casting and branding with a wealth of knowledge from every side of the industry. She helps you understand that the business of marketing yourself shouldn’t be uncomfortable, it should be the opposite. I highly recommend Jane and any of her classes."

"Self-Tape Momentum was a perfect next step for me. I have been submitting self-tape auditions for over a year and I was getting stuck. Jane takes great care in choosing new scripts each week and with her students in mind. Soon I felt relaxed and was enjoying taping - both for the class and for auditions. "

The LAB
8-Week Character Development & Performance Lab
Do you want the opportunity to go deeper than a traditional showcase? In this course, over 8 weeks, you’ll develop a character in a world-premiere one-act play, working on performance stamina, taking direction, and making strong, truthful choices.
With a deliberately small ensemble, you’ll get meaningful individual feedback while gaining the experience of carrying a character from first rehearsal to final performance. Directed by Jane Hancock & Colin Waitt.
First LAB Performance November 12th, 2026. Hen & Chickens Theatre.
