Self-taping is now one of the most essential skills for working actors. Callbacks are moving to an online format such as Zoom more frequently.
This four-week intensive is designed to mirror the real audition process, and help you master the demands of this new medium. Actors will strengthen their on-camera technique and build a reliable audition process.
Over the 4 week course, actors will work on various scenes, receiving detailed feedback and learning how to quickly apply notes, adjust performance, and deliver strong, professional self-tapes.
Inspired by the structure of the Momentum class but with a more focused & intensive format, this course gives actors multiple opportunities to practice, refine, and build confidence in front of the camera.
Actors will also receive access to all material filmed in class within 24 hours, along with detailed written and verbal feedback throughout the course.
Week 1 – Initial Self Tape
Actors will tape an audition in class and receive feedback.
Homework: submit a new audition tape via email by following Monday. Written notes will be returned by Tuesday.
Week 2 – The Callback
Actors bring that scene back with applied notes for a simulated callback. In class, actors will also receive new sides and work on cold reading on camera.
Homework: an additional scene for the same character/audition will be assigned to prepare for the following week.
Week 3 – Director Notes & Adjustments
Actors work on Scene 1 & Scene 2 in class, receiving adjustments and notes. They will then tape both scenes back-to-back, simulating a professional Zoom call back.
Homework: new sides will be sent. Submit a tape by following Monday. Written notes will be returned by Tuesday along with a final audition scene.
Week 4 – Final Casting Simulation
Actors perform final scenes with scheduled call times, completing two takes of each to simulate the pressure and pace of real casting deadlines.

A stronger, more professional audition workflow
Actors will leave the course with a sharper, more confident approach to self-taping, and a clearer understanding of how to deliver compelling auditions in today’s casting landscape.
This intensive includes both in-class work and at-home self-taping, with written feedback provided between sessions.
Participants should be prepared to record and submit tapes at home during Weeks 2 and 3, and to arrive in class ready to work on previously assigned material.
